Apogee
|
 |
The Apogee is a large tower style floor standing loudspeaker designed for use as main speakers in large domestic lounge rooms, or monitors in a recording studio.
The dynamics of the Apogee are in a class of their own due to the use of high end aluminum cone bass drivers, custom manufactured aluminium cone midrange drivers, and arguably the finest fabric dome tweeter known - the Scan Speak Ring Radiator.
The crossover features air core coils, film capacitors, and MOX resisitors.
The cabinet is constructed with 32mm and 60mm MDF with wall to wall shelf bracing, angled baffles, and extensive damping material to reduce internal reflections to inaudible levels.
The bass is clean and detailed with thunderous dynamics and extension. The midrange and high frequencies are produced with an accuracy unheard of from a speaker at this price.
At $12500 the Apogee represents one of the finest loudspeakers available at any price point.
