Each pair of Galaxys consist of 6 modules - 4 bass modules and 2 mid/high frequency modules
Each bass module consists of 2 x 300mm extra long excursion, extremely stiff aluminium anodised cone bass drivers producing the range from 8Hz to 100Hz.
The 8 drivers provide a combined linear displacement of over 16 litres.
The unique design of the sub modules, using opposed drivers, cancel out almost all vibration.
These drivers are driven by an immense array of amplification consisting of 4 x 1000w Australian built modules. Each module has 80,000uf of capacitance, and a 1kVA power supply.
That's a total of 4000w of power, 320,000uf of storage capacitance, and 4kVA of power transformer, just for the bass.
Each mid/high frequency module consists of 2 x 220mm bass/mid drivers, 2 x 135mm midrange drivers, and a single 25mm tweeter.
The 220mm bass/mid drivers are state of the art, using extremely rigid anodised aluminium cones, dual magnets, rubber surrounds, and cast baskets.
The 135mm midrange drivers are designed and manufactured to our proprietary specification, using extremely rigid anodised aluminium cones, phase plug, dual magnets, rubber surrounds, and cast baskets.
The 25mm fabric dome tweeter is one of the finest dome tweeters available, the Scan Speak Ring Radiator. Very high efficiency, ultra low distortion, 40kHz extension, low resonance, and no ferro-fluid being key goals in this design.
The passive section of the crossover consists of massive air core inductors, and the finest film capacitors.
The cabinet is constructed to extreme standards, with no less than 32mm MDF used on any exterior wall, and 50mm on the midrange baffles. Heavy bracing, and angled baffles are used throughout to reduce internal reflections to a minimum.
All cabinet walls are lined with the finest ultra thick acoustic sound absorbing material.
The above combination achieves a speaker of unparalleled purity, dynamics and realism at any cost. A speaker which can produce the full impact of a large scale orchestra, or rock concert without a hint of strain, yet still have ample in reserve.
A true reference speaker by which all others are judged.
All Galaxys sold come with personal installation by the designer anywhere in Australia, included in the cost.
